The Yunost Hotel was built in 1961 in Moscow by the project of the Soviet architect Jury Arndt. From the very beginning of its history the Yunost Hotel was connected with the Soviet Youth Organization Komsomol (VLKSM) and the Committee of Youth Organizations (KMO) of USSR. The Yunost Hotel was used to accommodate foreigners visited Russia as the official delegations, the participants of different international meetings, world youth festivals held in Moscow by the initiative of VLKSM and KMO. This connection was lost after events of 1991 but the modern Yunost Hotel administration still follows the traditions of hospitality once started in the Soviet time.
